Brief Background

The Isizwe Islamic Dawah Movement has always focused on aiding the needy, guided and strengthened by Islamic principles. Since 1997, Isizwe has been dedicated to reaching out to rural areas in dire need of assistance. During their work in these regions, they discovered a significant demand for various types of infrastructure, with access to water being one of the most urgent needs. Establishing Musjids and Islamic centers has also proven to be crucial for these communities.

A prime example of their efforts is the Musjid-Ul-Ummah Islamic Centre, established in 2014 in Inanda, Amoatana. Projects like these reflect Isizwe's mission to provide essential infrastructure and act as a source of support and guidance for local communities. The recent collaboration with HUDA SA will help ensure the goals and objectives for this Centre are achieved, Insha’Allah.

The Musjid was established many years ago, and due to its age, many parts require repair to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the community attending programs at the centre. Current repairs include painting, door replacement, electrical and lighting upgrades, window repairs, new carpets, and chalk/white boards for the Madrassah classroom and fencing around the property. Additionally, there are plans to equip a development and skills room with computers and IT training equipment which will cater for the community and bring to them services which are not within their reach since the Musjid is established in a rural area.
